St. Michael offers three separate child care programs. The Early Childhood Program serves our youngest children, 6 weeks through young threes, our After School Care offers care for preschool through eighth grade students and Summer Care provides a fun "camp like" atmosphere for our preschool through school age.
Communication: All three child care programs utilize Brightwheel for communication. Parents are able to message their child's teacher, receive daily updates, pictures and videos.
Please Note: Beginning in 2023 there will be limited availability for preschool age children.
Additional program information can be found on each page.
Infant Care (6 weeks to 1 Year)
Our loving staff provides a family like atmosphere where your baby will be nurtured to meet their individual needs. We will provide the highest quality of care to your infant by partnering with the parent and staying consistent with daily routines and communication. Please supply and label with FIRST and LAST names the following items for infant children: Diapers, wipes, ointments (with permission form), pacifier, pre-made bottles, baby food, nasal syringe (with permission form) blanket, several changes of clothes in a zip lock bag. Please plan to replenish items as needed.
One to Two Year Care
We continue to partner with our parents to provide the best possible care for our developing one year olds. Our toddlers are given every opportunity within our classrooms to develop their language, fine motor skills and gross motor skills. Please supply and label with FIRST and LAST names the following items for one year old children: Diapers, wipes, ointments (with permission form), pacifier, lunch, blanket, crib sheet, sippy cup, several changes of clothes in a zip lock bag. You are also welcome to send a “snuggle buddy” for nap time to make your child more comfortable. Please plan to replenish items as needed.
Two Year Old Preschool
In our two year old preschool program play is how this age learns best. While we are busy playing we will provide your child with the opportunity to work on developmentally appropriate skills. These skills include: self-help skills, fine and gross motor skills, shape and color recognition, letter/number recognition and counting.
Afterschool Care
Our preschool and school age children will dismiss to our afterschool care staff. Our location will vary as we like to utilize our entire campus: gym, football field, playgrounds, cafeteria, but our main area is the top floor of the McCauley building.
Upon arrival every child will wash their hands and be given a snack. Your child will have the opportunity to complete homework, engage in games, activities and outdoor play
Summer CaRE
Our summer program typically begins a few days after the last official school day and ends one week prior to school returning. We put great emphasis on making sure every child has an amazing, fun-filled summer. Our summer staff will coordinate a theme for each week and ensure your child participates in several campus and off campus activities. Previous weekly themes have included: Animal week, Star Wars - Jedi training, Under the Sea / Pirates and Holiday Celebration. If you have any fun suggestions, please feel free to email Kristina Fehr with your ideas!
Registration begins each year in February.
